English language requirements of the healthcare industry

The OET (Occupational English Test) is intended to specifically address the English language requirements of the healthcare industry. It evaluates the language skills of medical professionals who desire to work in an English-speaking setting. Writing and Speaking tests are provided in 12 different healthcare-related fields, and assessments are made of all four language skills. The reading and listening tests are taken by all candidates.
Online OET training is provided at Norka Institute of Foreign Language for candidates who have attended OET assessment at least once. The online training duration is 1 month. Candidates can choose multiple slots to attend training. Training fees of Rs 5000/- need to be paid by all candidates who gain admission for online training.

For registration in 12 healthcare professions, OET is accepted as evidence of English language proficiency in the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Dubai, Namibia, and Singapore. The Cambridge Boxhill Language Assessment Trust owns OET (CBLA). It is a partnership between Box Hill Institute and Cambridge English.

Norka Roots Offers IELTS & OET Mock Test Training (Offline) at NIFL

The Norka Institute of Foreign Languages (NIFL), is organizing IELTS and OET mock test sessions (offline only) at its Thiruvananthapuram center. Training will be available for all four modules – Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Writing – either together or individually. The training simulates the real exam environment and provides personalized feedback in all modules. The fee for the 10-day package for all modules is Rs. 6425 including GST and Rs. 2360 for the one-day package. The fee for individual modules is Rs. 1180 each for Speaking and Writing and Rs. 885 each for Listening and Reading, including GST.
