About the organization

International migration is currently being driven and led by nations like Canada, the USA, and the UK. Owing to these countries' extensive and various immigration paths that are synchronized with quicker processing, the majority of talented professionals from Kerala opt to migrate there. However, due to the pandemic, there has been a large preference shift in favor of other developed nations, including Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Japan, Italy, and other EU nations. The third factor contributing to a change in pattern is the countries' low population and labor deficit.

However, the most frequent cause of the challenges associated during the migration is poor linguistic abilities. However, many immigrants never acquire sufficient fluency in the language of the host country, despite its critical relevance. Expenditures associated with acquiring language skills include time, effort, the price of language classes, and indirect costs associated with giving up income while learning the language.

The Non Resident Keralites Affairs known as NORKA was set up by Government of Kerala to cater the welfare of Non resident Keralites , redress their grievances, safeguard their rights, rehabilitation of returned migrants and to facilitate investments in the state. It is the first of its kind formed in any Indian state.
