Job Roles:

Registered Nurses I

  • Two years of full –time (75 hours/biweekly) clinical experience; actively working in clinical nursing care in the recent year
  • Nurses who have already written the NCLEX exam, given priority for interviews.
  • Nurses who have applied for National Council Licensure Exam – RN (NCLEX-RN) for a practicing license, but may be eligible for interim (time-limited) license while they prepare for the exam given priority for interviews.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Educational Qualifications:
  • Completion of a 4 year Bachelor of Science (Nursing) program from an accredited Indian educational Institution[Completed in 2015 onwards]
  1. Experience
  • Two years of full –time (75 hours/biweekly) clinical experience; actively working in clinical nursing care in the recent year
  1. Place of work
  • Various sites within Newfoundland & Labrador Health Services, in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.
  1. Language Proficiency:
      • IELTS: General overall 5/CELPIP General 5

Recruitment Package:

Successful candidates will receive the following financial support package:

  1. Salary: $33.64 – $41.65 CAD per hour
  2. Period of Employment: Full time – no end date
  3. Working hours: 75 hours/biweekly, 12-hour rotating shift work; days, nights,   weekend.
  4.  Probationary period:  487.5 worked hours
  5. Annual leave, sick leave

Insurance benefits: In accordance with the applicable Collective Agreement

  1. Arrival Supports: 
    1) 3 months  of free accommodation
    2) Reimbursement of relocation expenses as per the Relocation Policy
    3) Reimbursement of nursing licensure and registration costs for Newfoundland and Labrador.

    11. Required Documents:

      • Curriculum Vitae which includes two professional references from current  or recent supervisors.
      • Legalized Copy of BSc in Nursing
      •  Legalized Copy of Academic Transcript
      • Legalized Copy of Nurse Registration Certificate
      • Legalized Copy of Reference from previous employer covering 3 years of employment (if applicable)
      • Passport Copy
      • Motivation Letter
  1. Assistance provided by NORKA ROOTS for selected candidates  accepting offer:
  • Assistance in gathering and provision of documents for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador (CRNNL)
  • Provision of NCLEX training in preparation to write the NCLEX exam.
  • Facilitation of preparation for the English – language testing requirements
  • Facilitation of identified supplementary education modules in preparation for on boarding
