Build a career within the specialty of psychiatry within NHS Wales, UK – No PLAB required.
Join us as an International Medical Graduate on a 1-3 year scheme and receive GMC sponsorship.
Representatives from NHS Wales will be available on stand B14 during the ANCIPS event in Kochi to discuss job opportunities with you. Additionally, a number of interviews will be held on Monday 22nd January at the Crowne Plaza, Kochi.
Who can apply:
• Doctors with Full GMC Registration or a primary medical qualification recognised by the UK General
Medical Council.
• Senior Grades require – completion of part 1 of postgraduate membership or fellowship exams as applicable for the specialty.
• Doctors who have obtained, or working towards, a postgraduate qualification in psychiatry.
• Doctors who have been in in a psychiatric clinical role for 3 out of the last 5 years (including the last 12 months).
• Doctors will be required to pass an English language test prior to deployment to the UK. (IELTS with a minimum overall score of 7.5 (minimum of 7.0 in each category) OR OET at a minimum ‘B’ in each domain).
Salary & Relocation Package
NHS Wales will:
• Sponsor you as an International Medical Graduate for full registration with the GMC.
• Provide regular access to educational support and mentorship.
• Access to regular and monitored training and development.
• Cover e-portfolio access fees for the first year.
• Gratuity payment of £500 (Tax & NI recoverable).
• Refund the cost of the IELTS/OET Fee.
• Cover the cost of the Visa application fee.
• Pay the cost of the flight ticket to the UK.
• Provide one month’s free accommodation.
• JCF Salary £37,737 – £49,925 (starting salary dependent upon experience)
• SCF Salary £37,737 – £59,336 (starting salary dependent upon experience)
• Speciality Doctor £52,542 to £82,418 (starting salary dependent upon experience)
